The Boston College Office of University Advancement (BCUA) is committed to safeguarding personal data. This Statement describes how the BCUA website ( and other BCUA-managed websites (collectively, the “Sites”) may collect and use personal information about visitors to the Sites (collectively, the “Visitors”).

Personal information collected from Visitors is used by Boston College to ensure the functionality of the Sites, in furtherance of its educational and charitable activities, and/or to engage with Visitors about Boston College.

Personal information may be collected from a Visitor when the Visitor uses a Site to provide information, such as when submitting a form or requesting information from BCUA. Information about a Visitor may also be provided automatically, such as when the Visitor’s web browser provides the Visitor’s IP address, geolocation data, unique device identifiers, pages visited, length of visit and terms searched.
