BC Alumni Community Terms of Service

The BC Alumni Community is sponsored by the BC Alumni Association in partnership with the Office of Information Technology. BC LawNet is sponsored by the BC Law School Alumni Association and is a subset of the Alumni Online Community for LAW graduates only.

The Boston College (the University) Alumni Community is owned by Boston College and is an online alumni community intended for individual communications of a personal nature among the members listed therein. Communications between the online community participants are not intended for publication or re-transmission in any media. Using the addresses or other information contained in the Alumni Online Community for any public, commercial, or political mailing is strictly prohibited.

While Boston College neither monitors nor controls the use of the Alumni Online Community by registered members, on-campus users, and other authorized users, if Boston College believes, in its sole discretion, that a user's participation in the online community may create liability for the University, or violates the guidelines set forth herein the Professional Standards and Business Conduct -- Use of the University Technological and Information Resource policy in the Boston College Policies and Procedures Manual, Boston College reserves the right to take actions that it believes are prudent or necessary, including canceling accounts or denying access to the online community.

Participation in the BC Alumni Online Community by the user constitutes an agreement to abide by the online community and University policies. Questions, issues, or complaints should be brought to the attention of the BC Alumni Association or BC LawNet.
