Each year, BC invites a small group of students to share the Boston College experience with a global audience through social media. The Social Fellows are a talented group of photographers, videographers, and curators who document the sights and sounds across campus, throughout the city, and around the world, from the extraordinary to the everyday.

This internship opportunity is available to Boston College undergraduates from all schools. Students who can demonstrate a talent for creating outstanding digital content and an interest in learning more about social media are invited to apply through the Office of University Communications.

Growing up in the coastal community of Marshfield, Massachusetts, Maddie has a passion for exploring the outdoors and is an avid photographer of nature and wildlife. She loves to spend her free time editing photos and videos, finding new trails to explore, relaxing and kayaking at the beach, and snuggling her two golden retrievers Alvin and Waldo.

Maria Tavierne

Maria is a junior, coming to Boston after attending high school in London, and growing up in the suburbs of Chicago. She is a communication major with minors in international studies and marketing. If she isn’t talking someone’s ear off about how much she loves Trader Joe’s, she is listening to wellness and lifestyle podcasts, finding new restaurants in Boston, or posting on her dog’s Instagram account.

Abby South

Abby is a sophomore from Montclair, New Jersey. Abby considers herself a casual photographer: She enjoys taking pictures because she thinks they can help appreciate the beauty that exists in everyday life. She is majoring in applied psychology & human development and communication with a minor in economics. Outside of school, Abby spends time with family, explores Boston with her friends, and reads lifestyle and travel blogs.

Joe Vecchio

Joe is a freshman from Keyport, New Jersey. As a biochemistry major, he enjoys doing research and reading up on all the latest scientific discoveries. Outside the lab, you can find him running around campus with his iPhone taking perfectly-angled #GassonGrams. He also enjoys listening to music, planning events with Class Council, and drinking iced coffees from Dunkin’ Donuts.

Michael Razis

Michael is a senior studying political science and Spanish. Born and raised in Newton, Massachusetts, Michael didn’t move far to attend college and has a steadfast love for Boston and its surrounding areas. When he’s not running or listening to The Weeknd, you can find him in the Chocolate Bar alternating between political theory readings and refreshing social media. Michael has a newfound interest in the intersection of tech analytics and business, and hopes to explore this interest in his post-grad professional life.

Seraphima Sidhom

Sera is a junior majoring in biology on the pre-med track. Her familial roots come from Cairo, Egypt, but she was born and raised in Weston, Massachusetts. During her time at BC, she has enjoyed working shifts for BCEMS, embarking on various service trips, competing in intramural sports, and conducting clinical research at Dana-Farber. When not passionately cheering on her beloved Boston sports teams, she enjoys editing photos on VSCO and reading design and travel blogs.

Jenna Rosenthal

Jenna is a sophomore majoring in applied psychology & human development and philosophy in the Perspectives program with a minor in marketing. A South Florida native, Jenna loves photographing, eating, and wandering around cool spots in her area. Abbi Audas

When she isn’t rowing for the BC crew team, she enjoys taking photos, spending time with her dog, and keeping up to date on the latest news. Abbi also likes going to concerts, traveling, and volunteering for local organizations.

Kaley Bent

Kaley is a New Orleans native who chose to ship herself up to Boston. She is a senior studying psychology and following the pre-med track. As a member of the pom squad, she shares a different view of Boston College with the world. In her free time, you can find Kaley hanging out with friends on the water or at the gym working out.

Patrick Halm

Majoring in political science and history, Patrick enjoys reading about current events and American history and loves a good binge-watch of The West Wing. In his free time, Patrick takes walks with his camera, searching for a new spot to watch the sunset, or is relaxing with a good book.
