David Twomey is a nationally recognized expert in labor law, having been appointed to nine Presidential Emergency Boards, whose recommendations served as the basis for the resolution of major disputes in the rail and airline industries. Twomey has served as arbitrator to more than 2,000 labor-management disputes throughout the country. He has written 35 editions of textbooks on labor, employment, and business topics, the last of which was the 5th edition of Business Law Principles for Today's Commercial Environment (M.A. Jennings and S. Greene, 2017). His articles have appeared in journals such as The AmericaBusiness Law Journal, The Labor Law Journal, The Business Law review, Best’s Review, The Massachusetts Law Quarterly, and the Florida Bar Journal. Twomey is a member of the National Academy of Arbitrators and a member of both the Massachusetts and Florida Bars.
