Frequently Asked Questions
This is a 12-week retreat of Spiritual Exercise that is made independently via the Finding Christ retreat material. We encourage groups to organize in-person or online meetings every week or two weeks at the discretion of the group, independent of the Institute. The Institute offers additional content for all retreatants every weeks via the Retreat Content page while the overall program will be dependent upon one's own time and motivation.
This retreat is intended to be a 12-week experience.
The retreat will for the most part be self-directed, using a Jesuit Source called Finding Christ in the World. We encourage participants to do this in a group.
The Institute’s involvement in your retreat is minimal. We distribute the text and provide you additional weekly content.
While the retreat can be done asynchronously at any time, we recommend forming a small group to experience the retreat as a community. For the summer of 2022, the Institute is offering to assist in forming random online small groups and encourages individuals and groups to participate together as a community.
In preparation for the retreat, please see the weekly content 'preparation' tab. There are also some additional guidelines in the back of the retreat text, which prove to be helpful as well.
A PDF of the first week of the retreat book has been made available for those whose material might still be en route.
