Ever to Excel Mentors

Ever to Excel Mentor Program
Mentor Session I: July 24 – 31, 2020
Mentor Session II: July 31 – August 7, 2020

*Update: May 15, 2020

Due to the continuing threat of the coronavirus and various health and safety restrictions, it is clear that Ever to Excel cannot take place as scheduled. Ever to Excel is focusing on 25-30 July and 1-6 August 2021 for the sessions next year. We will confirm these dates early in the new year.

Though our 2020 program will be deferred for a year, our intent is to continue to offer a magnificent experience of Spiritual Exercises to high school students from around the world--under the guidance of undergraduate students from Boston College who serve as Mentors. We look forward to an amazing Ever to Excel program in 2021.

Every year, undergraduates serve as Ever to Excel mentors for high school students from around the world.  Mentors strive to inspire these high school students and serve as role models as they explore and discover new interests, deepen their faith, make friends from all over the world, and have fun - all while experiencing Boston College: a premier Jesuit, Catholic university.

Mentors receive formation for providing strong leadership for the small groups that will meet throughout the week in order to explore what it means to live a more meaningful life through the lens of Ignatian spirituality. As a mentor, you will be asked to facilitate conversation, present personal testimonies and reflections, and exercise leadership for making the week a memorable and enjoyable experience for everyone involved in Ever to Excel.  Mentors receive free room and board for the duration of the training and the program itself in addition to a stipend.
