Douglas Saphire

Before becoming Interim Asssistant Dean, Doug served as Director of Recruitment and Employer Outreach, where he was responsible for interfacing with employers, Doug has been advising law students and alumni on their career development and job search processes for more than nine years. Prior to joining BC Law, he worked in the Office of Career Development and Public Service at Boston University School of Law and in the Office of Professional and Career Development at Suffolk University Law School. As a practicing attorney, Doug’s work as an associate at a mid-sized firm was focused in the areas of health care, corporate and creditors’ rights law. Doug graduated cum laude from Miami University and received his JD, cum laude, from Syracuse University College of Law.

Christopher M. Teague

Chris has over twenty years of experience working in the legal field as a judicial law clerk, practicing attorney in both the private and public sectors, and career advisor.  At BC Law, Chris oversees JD advising, co-chairs the Judicial Clerkship Committee, and assists students with their job searches, focusing on judicial clerkships and careers in criminal law.  He has held several leadership roles in NALP, the Massachusetts Legal Recruitment Association, and the Massachusetts Law School Consortium, and he has presented at numerous NALP annual conferences on topics pertaining to criminal law careers and interviewing skills, social media and technology, and professionalism training.  Earlier in his career, Chris practiced criminal law, both as an Assistant District Attorney in Boston and as a defense attorney.  He is a graduate of Connecticut College and Northeastern University School of Law.

Michelle Grossfield

Public Interest and Pro Bono Program Director

Michelle brings a decade of career services experience directing our public sector advising and programming, leading the law school's Pro Bono Program and administering the Public Service Scholarship Program.  She serves as Co-Chair of the BC Law Public Service Committee that is tasked with selecting the school's Public Service Scholars, making awards for the Loan Repayment Assistance Program (LRAP) to alumni in public service, and awarding other public service grants, including the school's postgraduate public service fellowships. She helps to support public interest students on campus through a wide range of initiatives and works closely with student organizations, including the Public Interest Law Foundation (PILF) and students participating in the pro bono spring break trips. She also serves as the national Chair of the PSJD Advisory Group, a consortium of law schools and public interest employers. Michelle began her public interest career as a Trial Attorney in the Children and Family Law Division of the Committee for Public Counsel Services, advocating on behalf of children and parents in child abuse and neglect proceedings.  She graduated from the University of Miami School of Law in 2006 and received her bachelor's degree from Brandeis University. 

Naomi Bass

Naomi is an experienced law school career advisor, who most recently served as an Assistant Director in the Center for Co-op and Career Development at Northeastern University School of Law, advising students interested in private sector opportunities with law firms, in-house counsel, and health law careers.  Previously, Naomi spent nine years as Legal Counsel at Mass General Brigham (formerly Partners HealthCare), where she focused on employment and patient care matters and supervised the law students who participated in the OGC’s summer internship program.  Naomi began her legal career in Boston as a Litigation Associate at Choate, Hall & Stewart.  Naomi received her B.A., magna cum laude, from the University of Rochester and her J.D., with Honors, from George Washington University Law School.

A skilled and experienced career advisor, Dorothy has built a formidable network of practitioners within the legal community. As a result, she regularly connects students with attorneys and receives many job postings and leads. Dorothy advises students in all aspects of the summer and post graduate job search including but not limited to law firm hiring, in-house opportunities, summer government and public interest opportunities, and judicial internships. She is also the administrative advisor to The First Generation Professionals student group, the lead advisor for international students, and works closely with LAHANAS, an umbrella student organization which supports the work of all student affinity groups on campus. Dorothy manages the office’s programming, which often includes over 100 events per year. She is certified to administer the Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) and other career–related assessment tools. She has presented at a number of National Association for Law Placement conferences. She holds a Master of Science degree in Higher Education/Counseling Psychology from Northeastern University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education from UMass Amherst. Dorothy has also served as an Adjunct Professor at Bentley University.

Jennifer Dominguez

Jennifer manages all CSO recruitment programs, reporting requirements and daily operations. Prior to joining BC Law, she held marketing roles in various industries including the legal sector where she worked for a business litigation and transactional law firm for three years. In addition, she spent 10 seasons working for the San Diego Padres on their marketing and game-day production teams. Jennifer received her bachelor’s degree from The University of Arizona and graduated with her MBA from Boston College.

Kathleen Hetnik

Kathy Hetnik has served Boston College and the Law School in various capacities over the span of nearly forty years. She coordinates many of the day to day operations of the office and is responsible for processing requests for clerkship letters of recommendation. Kathy spent many years of her career in the BC Law Office of Admissions and Financial Aid during which she helped to guide and welcome thousands of incoming BC Law students through the Admissions and Orientation process.  She holds an Associate Degree from Aquinas Junior College.
