Sharla Randazzo

Profile

Sharla Randazzo, LICSW, has been a part-time faculty member at the Boston College School of Social Work since 2018.  She is an experienced clinician, instructor, manager, and administrator who is currently teaching both Basic Skills Macro as well as Clinical Practice with Children and Families.  Sharla works in the nonprofit world for a large human services agency as the Senior Director of Outpatient Services.  In that role, she is responsible for high-quality clinical care in over 100 schools in Boston and the North Shore as well as the supervision and management of the medication management providers, the psychological testing program, and a large outpatient clinic in Boston.

With almost three decades of experience, Sharla has worked in direct care as well as supervisory roles in a variety of settings including private schools, public schools, primary care, medical and psychiatric hospitals, group homes, residential care, wraparound programs, and the homelessness system supporting Transitional Age Youth.   As a result, Sharla has a wide range of experience and is knowledgeable about resources and services for many populations.   Professor Randazzo specializes in school social work, education administration, and the treatment of children, adolescents, and families with a wide range of complicated psychiatric illnesses with a particular interest in health and wellness and education equity.

When not working, Sharla enjoys being outdoors, spending time with her three children, and gardening.  She used to spend her free time at the gym but since the COVID pandemic, she has moved to workout classes on the Peloton which is where she can be found early in the morning at the start of her day!
