CSWE26 Social Media Toolkit - AC General

Half a dozen students and faculty at the Boston College School of Social Work will present their research at the Council on Social Work Education’s 72nd Annual Conference, which will take place in Atlanta at the Marriott Marquis from Thursday, October 22 to Sunday, October 25.

BCSSW scholars will address a range of issues, including mental health across the life course, age-based discrimination among older workers, and innovations in social work education.

BCSSW will also host a reception for attendees on Friday, October 23, at 7 p.m. in Marquis Salon C. The reception, held in conjunction with five other top schools of social work—the University of Chicago, The Ohio State University, the University of Texas at Austin, the University of Washington, and Washington University in St. Louis—will feature live music and entertainment.

The theme of this year’s conference—Rooted in Resilience: Honoring the Past, Grounding the Present—invites the social work community to reflect on the enduring strength and adaptability of the profession. “The event,” CSWE said on its website, “will celebrate the legacies of justice, advocacy, and care that inform social work education, while also exploring the core values that root social work as a profession.”
