Hire a BC Higher Education Student

Thank you for your interest in a Boston College Higher Education graduate assistant for the 2023-24 academic year.

This year our Interview Day event will be held virtually.

Interview Days will be held on Thursday, March 2nd - Friday, March 3rd, 2023. Supervisors will have the opportunity to interview up to nine students per day, with interviews running from 9:00 AM - 4:45 PM. The event is open to all supervisors providing a paid/stipend internship or graduate assistantship opportunity for the 2023-2024 academic school year.

Students will apply to positions through Boston College, and candidate applications will be forwarded to supervisors by February 7th. After reviewing applications, supervisors will fill out a form in which you rank candidates for interviews and indicate your availability to participate in interviews during Interview Days.

Interview Day participation will occur in two blocks per day:

Morning block (max 4 interviews):

  • Interview #1:  9:15 - 9:45 AM
  • Interview #2:  10:00 - 10:30 AM
  • Interview #3:  10:45 - 11:15 AM
  • Interview #4:  11:30 AM - 12:00 PM

Afternoon block (max 5 interviews):

  • Interview #1:  1:15 - 1:45 PM
  • Interview #2:  2:00 - 2:30 PM
  • Interview #3:  2:45 - 3:15 PM
  • Interview #4:  3:30 - 4:00 PM
  • Interview #5:  4:15 - 4:45 PM

When you submit your candidate rankings, you will be able to indicate the days/blocks in which you are able to participate. For scheduling purposes, we ask you to plan to commit to a full time block of interviews wherever possible.

All interviews will take place on the Zoom virtual platform. Supervisors will be asked to provide a stable Zoom link when submitting your preferences for candidates (e.g. a recurring meeting link without time constraints). We encourage you to use the "waiting room" feature when setting up your Zoom link in order to manage the flow of candidates in and out of your interviews. If your Zoom Room uses a password for external guests, we will collect that information as well so that students are able to access your Zoom Room for interviews. For more information about how to set up a recurring Zoom meeting without time constraints, please see directions here.

Please direct all questions to Shadman Islem, Interview Day Co-coordinator at hefiexp@bc.edu.
