Summer Session 2022

The Summer Session at the Lynch School offers courses and professional development offerings for BC and non-BC students. The dates for the 2022 Summer Session are listed below.

Please note that some offerings occur outside of and across the session dates.

  • Summer Session 1: May 18–July 1, 2022
  • Summer Session 2: July 6–August 19, 2022
  • Registration for Lynch School graduate students will be announced shortly.
 

 

Enhance your summer

Summer session is packed with learning opportunities for early-career and experienced professionals in higher education, educational leadership, teacher education, applied psychology, and measurement, assessment, and evaluation.  

Our graduate courses will largely be offered online. These courses are open to students not currently enrolled in a BC degree program.

Lynch School Professor Emerita Maria Estela Brisk has worked closely with K-8 schools to develop a genre-based writing program, preparing teachers and researching children’s writing development.

Keisha Valdez 

Keisha Valdez has been a professional educator for more than 20 years. She also teaches, coaches, and mentors new professionals, teachers, school leaders, and university faculty.

Scott Seider

Scott Seider

Lynch School Associate Professor Scott Seider’s research focuses on the role of schools in supporting adolescents’ civic development. He has reported on this work in more than 70 academic publications..

Daren Graves

Daren Graves

The research of Daren Graves, a Simmons University associate professor and Harvard Graduate School of Education lecturer, lies at the intersection of critical race theory, racial identity development, and teacher education. 

Liz MacDonald

Elizabeth MacDonald 

Elizabeth MacDonald has been teacher and coach in the Boston Public Schools for more than 20 years. Her interests include urban education, reading and writing instruction, dual-language schools and the preparation of pre-service teachers.

Michael Mookie Manalili

Michael Mookie Manalili practices a narrative-based, meaning-oriented, and neuroscience-informed style of psychotherapy. He is a research assistant in Boston College’s Morality Lab and a program coordinator for Professional and Continuing Education.
