S. Kyle Johnson, PhD is a Learning Designer at the Center for Digital Innovation in Learning at Boston College. Kyle received his Ph.D. in theology at Boston College in 2022. He also has a Master of Theology from Boston College and a Master of Divinity from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. 

Kyle is passionate about effective learning experiences and helping faculty and higher education institutions improve in their teaching work. He brings his experience teaching in the college classroom, as well as a passion for accessible, creative, and student-centric instruction to his work at CDIL. 
Along with his role in learning design at CDIL, Kyle is also committed to teaching, research, and writing in theology and religious studies. He spends the rest of his time cooking, traveling, and attempting (and mostly failing!) to tend a garden.
