She most enjoys working with writers and texts from the Romantic period. She is interested in urban history, Marxist readings, and gender studies as they interact with cities and city life in works of literature.

Before arriving at Boston College, Abby received a Master's in English from the University of Alabama in 2022. She received her Bachelor's in English with minors in German and Sociology from Augsburg University in 2018.
