Professor Lykes

M. Brinton Lykes, M.Div., Ph.D., Professor
Chair of the Department

The department of Counseling, Developmental, and Educational Psychology offers undergraduate and graduate programs in Counseling Psychology, Applied Developmental and Educational Psychology, and Human Development.

Through research, teaching, and service, we seek to educate a next generation of scholars and practitioners who will collaborate with diverse local, national, and international communities to advance psychological knowledge that improves practice and informs policy. We share the Lynch School's mission, that is, an "underlying aspiration to enhance the human condition, to expand the human imagination, and to make the world more just." These aspirations and goals are embodied in our programs which are described in more detail below.
