The Lynch School of Education and Human Development saw a gain in the 2026 U.S. News & World Report Graduate School rankings, rising from one point to a 19th position.

Released in early April, the Lynch School also performed well in this year’s specialty rankings category, as six of its specialty programs graded in the top 20, including student counseling (11th), curriculum and instruction (12th), educational administration(13th), and elementary, secondary, and higher education (17th).

According to U.S News, its rankings are based on “expert opinion about program excellence, and statistical indicators that measure the quality of a school’s faculty, research, and students.”
