Dear Lynch School Community,

These are invigorating days at the Lynch School—a time of exciting change and reorganization. We’ve restructured our staff into teams to strengthen and support our strategic goals, advance our academic and administrative work, and promote the collaboration and cooperation that define the Lynch School community.

In September, we inaugurated our Office of Strategic Initiatives and External Relations, led by Associate Dean David Goodman. This division consolidates our efforts to extend our reach to new audiences (a goal of mine since my arrival in 2016). Joined by Ashana Hurd, director of professional development, and Rupal Patel, director of program innovation, Dean Goodman will oversee the development of online and face-to-face academic programs along with new professional development offerings.

We have also welcomed four new leaders to the Lynch School. And while each brings talent and energy to their field of expertise, they are collectively committed to working together to serve our various constituencies. They are:

  • Yasmin Nuñez, associate dean for finance and administration
  • Jessica Rivers, assistant dean for graduate admissions and financial aid
  • Amy Ryan, assistant dean for field placement and outreach
  • Melodie Wyttenbach, executive director of the Roche Center for Catholic Education


Our high-functioning, flexible teams, made up of staff who can innovate effectively and address challenges and opportunities as they arise, will allow us to place the Lynch School’s emphasis squarely where it belongs. We will remain at the forefront of research and pedagogy, develop new knowledge, address social challenges, and, through our expanding online course offerings, reach students around the world.
