Magnetic Resonance Center Receives NIH & NSF Grants

The National Institute of Health has awarded the University's Magnetic Resonance Center $999,500 to purchase a CyroProbe-enabled (500 MHz) NMR Spectrometer.  The instrument will be housed in the Magnetic Resonance Center and is the first spectrometer of its kind at Boston College.  It will replace a 30-year old model.

In addition, the National Science Foundation has awarded the University's Magnetic Resonance Center $542,820 towards the purchase of a Prodigy-probe enabled 500 MHz NMR spectrometer.  This instrument will replace an older model and will be used for educational and outreach efforts in addition to regular research activities.
