This 10-week program is an introduction to the art of self-defense. Students will learn self-defense in a fun and safe environment that increases cardio-vascular fitness and reduces stress. In addition to learning a variety of blocking, striking, and grappling techniques, students will learn preemptive strategies to avoid and minimize conflict, breathing techniques to facilitate a sense of calm and confidence, meditative practices that heighten sensory awareness, and how to use the voice and body to establish boundaries, increase balance, evade attacks, and generate power.
