Patrons have been coming to the Boston College pool for over 30 years to recreate, swim laps, compete, and participate in our wide array of aquatic programs. From youth and adult swim lessons to Red Cross and water fitness classes, there is something for everyone.

The lifeguards are in charge of all operations on the deck. Please see them if you have a question or problem. Any patron who wishes to bring more than three guests in to use the pool (i.e. for a birthday party) should submit a space request form.

Please make sure to check out our pool rules before your first visit. There is a complete list of pool, diving well, and spa rules and regulations. The rules are designed to promote health, sanitation, and safety, as well as a pleasant and enjoyable experience for all of the pool users.

All private swimming and diving lessons, as well as group class schedules will be updated on the website by late August.

Private swimming and diving lessons will go on sale on 9/3 at 6 am. Group class times will go on sale at a date and time TBD.

In order to accommodate construction and provide flexibility in moving into the new facility, Campus Recreation will not be running or hosting any organized programs during summer 2019. Dates and pricing for fall 2019 private lessons will be available soon.

We offer private lessons for adults of all skill levels. From the beginner who wants to learn the basics, to the more advanced participant who needs to work on technique or to refine their skills, our instructors can help.

U.S. Masters Swim Program

Our Masters Swim Program consists of a team of motivated swimmers who train under the instruction of our experienced coaches. The name might sound a bit intimidating, but ‘Masters’ simply refers to the adult age group (ages 18 and older): the program is open to all Boston College students, faculty and staff members, alumni, and members of the community.

Participants can join for the challenging workouts, to train for a triathlon, or simply to get in shape and have fun. Swimmers have the opportunity to compete in New England Masters Swim Meets, but it is not required.  Practices are offered in both the mornings and evenings, and are designed to get swimmers into great cardiovascular condition.

Lifeguarding CPR/FA/AED
This class teaches lifeguard candidates the skills and knowledge needed to prevent and respond to aquatic emergencies. Upon successful completion of the course, each student will receive: Lifeguard Training, First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications.

Lifeguard Recertification
The purpose of this course is to help participants achieve recertification in Lifeguard Training without having to take the full content course. Proof of valid certification is required for review course. Upon successful completion of the course, each student will receive Lifeguard Training, First Aid CPR, and AED certifications.

Water Safety Instructor Training
Water Safety Instruction is an advanced swimming course designed for those who wish to become American Red Cross Swim Instructors. Upon successful completion of the course, students will be certified to teach all levels of swim lessons as well as the Community Water Safety Courses.

Please be aware that there is a swim assessment (below) for all Lifeguarding and Water Safety Instructor classes. This swim assessment must be passed to continue with the class. If you fail to pass the swim assessment, you will not be able to continue with the class. There will be NO REFUNDS for anyone who fails the Prerequisite Swim Assessment.
