About the Club

The Boston College Club Field Hockey team competes as an A Team in the National Field Hockey League. During the fall season (September to November), the team practices on Mondays and Wednesdays from 7:30-9:30pm. The team practices and plays on the Newton Campus astroturf. Competition during the fall season includes several matches against local New England teams and the National Field Hockey League fall tournament. In the off-season in the spring, the team practices less frequently and may participate in local scrimmages and/or an invitational tournament.

Boston College Club Field Hockey is a highly competitive, student-run program. Our team welcomes players (both men and women) of all levels and backgrounds, although we encourage strong field hockey skills and knowledge of the game for tryouts. Tryouts are typically held early September after Student Activities Day when students have the chance to sign up for clubs.
