About the Club

The Boston College Men’s Club Crew team is comprised of a group of hard-working, driven athletes who row at a competitive level both regionally and nationally. The team is an affiliate of the Eastern College Athletic Conference which is a part of the American Collegiate Rowing Association. While the team’s primary season is the spring, the Men’s Crew team is active throughout the year, starting with pre-season training before the academic year begins and continuing into fall competitions and winter training.  During the fall and spring competition seasons, the team practices 6 days a week on the Charles River out of the Community Rowing, Inc. boathouse and during winter training the team typically practices 4 to 5 days a week indoors. During an athlete’s first year of rowing he will be a member of the Novice team. Prior experience is not required – in fact, the Novice team is typically comprised of athletes who did not row in high school. The team is also always interested in females who want to participate as coxswains. While the team may make some cuts a few weeks into the fall depending on how many athletes consistently show up, they are happy to teach anybody to row that is willing to work hard and put in the effort.
