Boston College Information Technology Services partners with many other groups on campus to support technology and host events.
Below, are some of the departments that partner with ITS to support technology at BC:
ATAB is a committee of the Office of the Provost and is the voice of the faculty in all matters related to academic technology.
The CTE supports best and innovative practices in teaching by faculty and graduate students.
The FMRC is a computing resource center run by faculty for faculty. FMRC services include: statistical and research computing, eLearning approaches, developing web-based materials, learning about new hardware and software, making faculty technology concerns heard and represented.
OUC offers a wide range of services that support the marketing of Boston College to various external constituencies, including prospective students and parents, prospective graduate students, alumni, and the general public. While OUC focuses on projects that require a combination of original design, writing, and photography, the office also handles projects that may require only one of these services. Specific projects include print and online communications as well as signage, banners, and other types of promotional vehicles.
The BC Libraries provide information resources and services to support teaching, learning, and research at Boston College. The BC libraries offer a wealth of resources in technology and research, including the BC Libraries' online catalog, online databases, electronic journals (e-journals), electronic books (e-books), online research guides, and much more.
The Technology Forum is for community members from across campus to share ideas and best practices related to using technology in support of department goals. This event is typically held twice a year (fall & spring semesters).
