Photonics and Nanotechnology

We focus on the development of advanced photonic technologies at the nanoscale and the integration of nanostructures into the micro and macroworlds. The research topics include electronic and electromagnetic properties of nanostructures, mechanics of carbon nanotubes and nanowires, nanoscale devices for biochemical sensing, optical metamedia, and plasmonics.
