Biological Physics

Biological Physics

Our motivation is to apply the various physics tools such as statistical mechanics and nanotechnology to characterize and control the fundamental processes in biology. This is a highly interdisciplinary field of physics with close links to biology, chemistry, and even material science. The research topics include pattern formation, cellular dynamics, novel radiation therapies, nanoscale devices for biochemical sensing, and photosynthesis.
