Alicia M. Cintron, PhD, is an adjunct professor in the Sports Administration program in the Woods College of Advancing Studies, where she guides graduate students through capstone projects that connect to their career goals. Her career spans sport industry practice, academic research, and entrepreneurship.
She started her sports career with Oak View Group, a facility management company, rising to director of marketing and charged with promoting concerts, family shows, and sporting events. She later served as an assistant professor of sport administration at the University of Cincinnati, where she researched underrepresented populations in and around sport, with a focus on professional sport stadium development. Across her graduate and faculty work, she co-authored 14 peer-reviewed articles and three book chapters.
Today, she runs (Cintron, Revised), a research communications consultancy that supports scholars in sharing their research beyond academia. Her work includes coaching researchers on social media strategy and supporting a research team in launching an industry-focused report. She is also a writing coach and editor with Heartful Editor, where she works with doctoral candidates on their dissertations. Outside of her academic work, she is a certified travel coach who has traveled to more than 25 countries.
