Our fully online, four-course Graduate Certificate in Writing & the Human Condition is ideal for those not ready to commit to a full degree program. Intensive writing workshops complement courses that focus on the craft of storytelling, how the psychological humanities have evolved, and the timeless discoveries of distinguished psychologists throughout the ages.

Through core courses and intensive workshops, aspiring writers will learn how to skillfully compose narratives and situate their writing in the tradition of the psychological humanities while developing a portfolio of writing work. Students will complete one writing workshop, one course in the psychological humanities, and two courses from our M.A. in Writing & the Human Condition Program.

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university (minimum GPA 3.0)
Applicants whose undergraduate GPA falls below 3.0 will be considered for admission. Applications will be considered in light of other factors, including letters of reference and personal statement.
