Mike Fisher, DBA, MBA, FACMPE, is Professor Emeritus at Regis University, Adjunct Faculty at Boston College, and Senior Advisor with HMRx Healthcare Advisors. He has more than four decades of experience in healthcare administration, physician practice management, and graduate healthcare education.
During a 25-year career at Regis University, Dr. Fisher served in multiple leadership roles, including Professor and Chair. He previously held leadership positions in healthcare delivery and founded two healthcare consulting practices.
Dr. Fisher earned a Doctor of Business Administration in Health Services Administration (DBA) and is a Fellow of the American College of Medical Practice Executives (FACMPE). He received the 2023 Lifetime Achievement Award from the Colorado Medical Group Management Association (Colorado MGMA) and has been awarded the Lifetime Membership designation from the national MGMA. He is also an honorary Alpha Sigma Nu faculty member.
A lifelong hockey participant and historian, Dr. Fisher played, coached, and managed the San Francisco State University club hockey team, has been a volunteer and patron of the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto since 1994, serves on the Board of the USA 80+ Hockey Hall of Fame, and is a member of the Society for International Hockey Research.
