Alexandra Mannerings, PhD, is the co-founder of Epifluence, a healthcare consulting firm built on the belief that meaningful change happens when human wisdom meets analytical insight. As Chief Data Officer, she partners with healthcare organizations to turn complex data into decisions that actually move the needle. Before Epifluence, Alexandra founded Merakinos, an analytic education and consulting company helping non-profits and community organizations harness the power of data. She remains deeply passionate about data conversancy: helping each of us get comfortable navigating a world dominated by flying numbers and poorly explained statistics.
Dr. Mannerings holds a BSc in Biology from Emory University and a PhD in Epidemiology from the University of Cambridge. Her career has spanned three continents, from a field researcher chasing bats in Ghana to high table in England, through rural hospitals and urban nonprofits. Before Boston College, she taught at Regis University, where she designed the online course, "Methods of Inquiry and Research," to cover how to understand and use healthcare research.
She lives on a small farm in central Kentucky with her dashing British husband, two kids, and an ever-growing menagerie of animals.
