Karrah Ellis is the Athletic Director at Marianapolis Preparatory School in Thompson, Connecticut, and brings more than 20 years of experience in education, interscholastic athletics, athletic administration, and leadership development to the Woods College. Prior to joining Marianapolis, Karrah served as the Director of Athletics at Franklin High School in Massachusetts. Throughout her career, she has focused on building strong athletic programs, developing coaches and staff, and creating positive experiences for student-athletes.
For more than a decade, Karrah has worked in the professional development of athletic administrators at the state and national level. As a National Faculty Instructor and Course Chairperson for the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association (NIAAA), she teaches leadership training courses to athletic administrators from across the country. She has also served as the Massachusetts Leadership Training Coordinator and is a past president of the Massachusetts Secondary School Athletic Directors Association.
Karrah holds a B.A. in Communication and an M.Ed. in Secondary Education from Worcester State University and is a Certified Master Athletic Administrator (CMAA). She previously served on the Boston College M.S. in Sports Administration Advisory Board. Karrah brings her experience as an athletic administrator and educator into the classroom, giving students a practical, real-world perspective.
