Biography

Mairi is a senior IS major with a concentration in Ethics and Social Justice and a minor in Women’s and Gender Studies. She is from Medford Lakes, New Jersey, and studied abroad in Quito, Ecuador in the Spring of 2022. Throughout her time at BC, Mairi has worked as an undergraduate research fellow for Fresh Ink, BC’s journal for first-year writing students. She is also part of FACES, an anti-racism organization at BC, as a member of the Council and as a co-lead for the First Year Program. This year, Mairi is writing a thesis on the role of women’s activist groups in addressing gender transgressions during and after armed conflict through processes of transitional justice.
