I have been the mechanical /electrical engineer for the plasma chemistry lab for 29 years. Both at AFRL Hanscom AFB and AFRL Kirtland AFB. I design in Boston and visit AFRL Kirtland AFB every 6 to 8 weeks for a 2 week stay, I design and modify new and existing experiments in the lab. Building instruments from the ground up.  I also work on campus for Scientific Instrumentation and Machine Services . We support all the R&D labs on campus. Physics, Chemistry,  Biology, Geology, and Psychology. When some kind of instrumentation or mechanical system breaks down we try to repair it. In the evening I consult for space propulsion company called Busek in Natick MA.
