Ericka L. Webb
Executive Director of Gift Planning
Ericka Webb oversees all aspects of the gift planning program and works closely with donors and their advisors, staff, and University leadership to increase philanthropic support to the University through legacy gifts. She was Director of Gift Planning and Endowment for the WGBH Educational Foundation for more than four years. Prior to joining WGBH, Ericka worked in the gift planning offices at both Harvard University and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.
Ericka earned her bachelor’s degree in international relations from American University and a master’s in education from Harvard University. She served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Chad, Africa, where she worked on community health education and other initiatives. She is on the board of the National Association of Charitable Gift Planners and is the past President of the Planned Giving Group of New England (PGGNE).
Senior Associate Director of Gift Planning
Denise Heffron joined Boston College in October 2017. Bringing over 10 years of expertise, she collaborates, cultivates, and stewards BC alumni, parents, and friends with various gift planning offerings such as bequests, life-income gifts, and other complex gift transactions. Previously, Denise worked at State Street Global Advisors (SSgA’s) private asset management group as a Senior Trust Administrator working with the firm's largest private wealth relationships. Most recently, she worked at SSgA in the charitable asset management group. Denise is also an active member of the Planned Giving Group of New England (PGGNE) and a member of the National Association of Charitable Gift Planners.
Megan McCarthy ’07
Associate Director of Gift Planning
Megan McCarthy works with alumni, parents, and friends to help deepen their relationship with the University and make a meaningful impact at the Heights while meeting their financial and philanthropic goals. Megan joined Boston College in August of 2015. After roles on the Annual Giving, Leadership Giving, and Leadership Giving Programs teams, she joined the Gift Planning team in April of 2022. While on the Annual and Leadership Giving teams, Megan worked with Reunion classes ranging from the 5th Reunion to the 40th Reunion and worked with the local BC community. Prior to working at BC, Megan worked at the Dana Hall School and Dana Farber Cancer Institute.
Boston College Gift Planning is a natural fit for Megan as she is a third-generation BC alumna and third-generation Shaw Society member.
Assistant Director of Gift Planning Operations
Olivia Osiecki joined Boston College in November 2021. She manages the overall operations of the Gift Planning Office, including the estate administration. Prior to BC, Olivia worked at Boston University for several years as their Senior Planned Giving Coordinator assisting with processing planned gifts, managing their gift annuity program, and stewardship events. She earned an MBA from Fitchburg State University, an MS in Advertising at Boston University’s Metropolitan College, and her bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Gender Studies at Stonehill College. She is a member of the Planned Giving Group of New England (PGGNE).
Development Assistant, Gift Planning
Emily joined the Gift Planning team in September 2021 and helps to coordinate the day-to-day operations of Gift Planning. Prior to coming to BC, Emily spent time working in elementary education, as well as with the U.S. Small Business Administration. She earned her bachelor's degree in sociology and her MBA at Quinnipiac University in Connecticut.
