Melissa Bosworth is a strategist, educator, and founder working at the intersection of systems change, organizational development, and health equity. With over a decade in higher education, she develops and teaches curricula in health administration, ethics, and applied community practice, with deep experience at Jesuit institutions where mission, dignity, and the common good anchor academic work.
She is the Founding Principal of Vertical Strategies, a cross-sector consulting practice partnering with 50+ mission-driven organizations across 20+ states through planning, funding, facilitation, and organizational development. She also co-founded the Center for Social Creativity, a nonprofit supporting entry-stage organizations in capacity building and long-term viability.
Melissa holds an MS in Health Services Administration from Regis University and a BFA in Neurologic Music Therapy from Colorado State University. She is a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Culture of Health Leaders Fellow and an Aspen Institute Healthy Communities Fellow.
Her work is grounded in the conviction that health equity is not achieved through programs alone, but through institutions built with the communities they serve. She brings that lens to every classroom, curriculum, and client engagement.
