Biography

Our work with the Space Chemistry Group of AFRL's Space Vehicles Directorate involves laboratory-based experimental work on the physical chemistry of operating in the space environment.  We employ "single-collision" ion and neutral beam techniques along with optical spectroscopy and mass spectrometry methods to probe the processes occurring in spacecraft electric propulsion systems, as well as the interactions of engine plumes with the low Earth orbit environment.
