Master's Student
Sophia is an M.A. student in the English Department at Boston College. Sophia’s research interests lie in Shakespearean studies, Early Modern literature, performance studies, literary theory, hermeneutics, culture, literacy studies, and grappling with the concept of literary anthropology. While she coins herself an Early Modernist, Sophia tries to rationalize the impacts that Early Modern texts have had not just on their time, but also on the scope of literature and society throughout history into the contemporary day and age.
Sophia graduated summa cum laude from Loyola University Maryland with a B.A. in English and Writing. Besides reading and writing for school, she enjoys creative writing in all forms, rock climbing, sitting and staring at the ocean, and drinking copious amounts of coffee.
