Biography
Makenna Vieira-Lewis is an M.A. student with an interest in 20th-century African American literature, drama, and spatial studies. She is particularly interested in how the physical medium of the stage and the narrative landscape of the novel expose systems of structural containment. She received her B.A. in English and Comparative Literature at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2023. Currently, she’s pursuing her M.A. while working as an Editorial Assistant at Wiley. Her free time is usually spent writing, exercising, or playing video games.
