Biography
Jessie McNiel is a master’s student at Boston College. Her research interests include modernism and contemporary American literature, ecopoetics, animal studies, feminism, and the body, especially the body through an ecocritical lens. She is also interested in the language of illness and chronic pain. Before coming to Boston College, Jessie was a managing editor at Simon & Schuster. She holds a M.F.A. from Columbia University and a B.A. in English Literature from Washington University in St. Louis.
