Katie Dalton
Director
Katie Dalton is the Director of the Women’s Center. Katie received her undergraduate degree in psychology, her master’s degree in higher education administration, and her PhD in higher education administration from Boston College. Katie’s doctoral research investigated the role that mentors in woman-to-woman mentoring of undergraduate students play in addressing undergraduate women’s declining self-esteem. Katie explored mentors’ motivation for serving as mentors, their level of critical consciousness of undergraduate women’s experiences, and whether they believed they had the power to enact structural change.
Katie enjoys being active and indulges her competitive side whenever possible. She and her partner Brian can often be found running, skiing, or coaching one of their three children’s sports teams.

Claire Johnson Allen

Claire Johnson Allen is the associate director of the Women’s Center. Claire received her undergraduate degree in clinical psychology from Tufts University, and her master’s degree in social work from Boston College. Claire enjoys performing whenever she can and has been a dancer, cellist, and singer for much of her life. She and her husband, a Berklee graduate, can often be found talking in song lyrics and movie quotes, in a ballroom dance lesson, or watching the latest sci-fi/fantasy movie with friends.

Yanna Garcia, LSOEHD ’24
Graduate Assistant, Bystander Intervention Education
Yanna is the Graduate Assistant for the Bystander Intervention Education Program. She graduated from Santa Clara University in 2020 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Sociology. Yanna is currently in the process of completing her Master’s in Mental Health Counseling at the Lynch School of Education and Human Development. It is her dream to further improve mental health accessibility in her home country, the Philippines - while creating programs that are more culturally relevant for future generations of Filipinos. Yanna is looking forward to working in the Women’s Center because she feels very strongly about creating safe spaces within communities. She believes that it is important to encourage conversations about difficult topics, as she trusts that it is through these conversations that progress and growth individually and as a society really happen. Yanna hopes to become a safe space for members of the community.
In her free time, she enjoys going on long walks, trying out new cafes, and immersing herself in Hallyu-related media.

Nyla Boler, ’25
Nyla is from Birmingham, Alabama. She is a majoring in Nursing. She is passionate about helping others, advocacy, reaching out to more people and becoming more involved with what Boston College has to offer. During and after her time at Boston College, Nyla wants to create a more inclusive space at Boston College for all people by sparking conversation of ideas and opinions and by empowering others to do the same. Nyla is thrilled to work at the Women’s Center. She is thrilled to become a part of a large network of women who are empowering all women and other minorities through the services they provide. Nyla loves cooking, traveling and binge-watching Netflix shows.

Anshika Agrawal, CSOM ‘25
Anshika is from Surat, a small city in Gujarat, India. She is a junior majoring in Finance and Information Systems, with a minor in Managing for Social Impact and the Public Good. She was a Bystander trainer last year and will be returning this year. It was an awesome time working with the lead team during bystander and she is thrilled to be working with more women's center folks and developing great connections! She is also involved with the AHANA Management Academy on campus and is interested in advocating for equality at workplaces for AHANA+ members. Anshika is also passionate about cultivating ESG goals and measures in the corporate ecosystem and wants to pursue a career in the field to help companies achieve balance. In her free time, she loves to dance and was on MASTI last year, she likes to thrift, and try new cafes (read: coffee addict).

Lesley Carranza Bonilla, ’24
Lesley was born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts but spends most summers in El Salvador with her family. She is majoring in Nursing with hopes of concentrating on public health. Lesley is passionate about social justice, women's rights, and healthcare equity; especially those in relation to health disparities among African American and Latinx women during pregnancy. She is committed to learning more about inequalities in the healthcare field and the necessary steps needed to implement solutions. Lesley aspires to become a midwife in hopes of dedicating her life's work to decreasing pregnancy-related inequalities worldwide. Lesley believes safe spaces like the Women's Center provide the support individuals need and the resources to develop new skills to reach their full potential.
On campus, Lesley is involved in the Organization of Latin American Affairs, Vida De Intensa Pasion dance team, Strong Women Strong Girls, Keys to Inclusive Leadership in Nursing, and the McNair Scholars Program in which she is conducting undergraduate research on pregnancy experiences during the Covid-19 Pandemic. When Lesley is not busy with school-related work, she enjoys reading romance novels, discovering new music, watching true crime documentaries, and cooking new foods.

Elizabeth Anderson, MCAS ‘25
Elizabeth is from Seattle, Washington which fostered her love of hiking, skiing, snowshoeing, and basically any other outdoor activity. She is majoring in Sociology with a double minor in Hispanic Studies and History. She joined the Women’s Center because she wants to cultivate a more inclusive and empowering space for students of all identities at Boston College. Elizabeth is passionate about advocacy for marginalized communities, especially as it pertains to immigrants and survivors of sexual violence. In the future, Elizabeth hopes to work as an immigration attorney, specifically representing Spanish-speakers. She is interested in reforming the justice system from the inside, ensuring all people receive due process and fair representation.
On-campus, Elizabeth is a member of the Mock Trial Team and is Assistant Director of the Signature Events department of the Campus Activities Board. She is also a trainer for Bystander Intervention.
Off-campus, Elizabeth volunteers with Project Citizenship. When she is not in class or Bapst Library, you can find Elizabeth working out, playing intramural volleyball, or hanging out with friends. Elizabeth is so thankful to be part of the Women’s Center staff and to be surrounded by such incredible people!

Jenaea Duddie, ’22
Jenaea is from Colchester, Connecticut. She is majoring in African & African Diaspora Studies and minoring in Women and Gender Studies. Jenaea is very passionate about social justice and equal rights; especially those centered around people of color, women, the LGBTQIA+ community, and other intersectional identities and systems. Outside of these passions, she loves to dance and is a member of the Synergy Hip Hop Dance Company at BC. When Jeneaea is not dancing, you can find her performing poetry at open mic nights, creating art, nappying anywhere on campus, or hanging out with her friends. Jenaea got involved with the Women's Center by simply showing up to the office and attending the different programs the WC hosts. Jenaea's really excited to be working at the Women's Center and to provide a safe space where students can be their most authentic selves.

Mila Contreras Godfrey, '24
Mila is from Boston, Massachusetts. She is majoring in Applied Psychology on the pre-medical track. Mila is looking forward to her sophomore year and getting more involved on campus and making new friends. This year, Mila will also be a Health Coach in the Office of Health Promotions as well as a aSCRIPTern at Boston Children’s Hospital. She is excited to work at the Women’s Center to foster empathy and kindness and is passionate about advocating and supporting the needs of women, and other underrepresented groups, across campus. In her free time, Mila enjoys dancing, listening to music, and spending time with her friends!

Srina Lacet, '24
Srina is originally from the New England area but currently lives in Frederick, MD. She is double-majoring in Political Science and African and African Diaspora Studies on the Pre-Law track. She is passionate about social justice, Black feminism, and mental health advocacy, especially for women of color on campus. During her time at Boston College and beyond, Srina hopes to promote the advancement of vulnerable and marginalized populations. Her driving force is to give voice to underserved communities by working within political and educational power systems to change repressive mechanisms.
On-campus, Srina is involved in Haitian Association, F.I.S.T.S. dance team, UGBC AHANA+ Leadership Council, and the Gabelli Presidential Scholars Program. She also has an interest in film and video production as a form of self-expression and storytelling. Outside of the Women’s Center, she enjoys exploring campus or Boston with friends, listening to music, and reminiscing about her favorite Disney Channel Original Movies. She hopes to contribute to creating a safe and inclusive space for all students through her work at the Women’s Center.

Christie Louis, '24
Christie is originally from Petion-ville, Haiti but now resides in Wrentham, MA. She is undeclared on the pre-med track hoping to earn her Biology BS and minor in African and African Diaspora Studies. Christie is extremely passionate about racial justice issues with an emphasis on Black women's health and well-being. She aspires to be an OBGYN in hopes of dedicating her life's work to decreasing the Black Maternal Mortality rate in the United States and around the world. Christie currently serve as an Events Coordinator for HA and as AHANA+ Caucus Coordinator for ALC. She has a deep love for travel, cooking, and dancing to Kompa. She is extremely honored to have the opportunity to work in an office such as the Women's Center which aims to create a safe and inclusive space for all women on campus.

Emme Mackenzie, ’25
Emme is from Kansas City, MO and is majoring in Political Science and Global Health. She is extremely grateful to join the Women’s Center and cultivate new friendships while giving back to her community! Emme was first introduced to the Women’s Center through her open-mic performances at WC events and growing passion and determination to make a mark during her time at Boston College. She is interested in gender equality efforts, public health policy, and women’s health. On campus, Emme is a research assistant, a Bystander trainer, and a member of the Residence Hall Association. In her free time, she loves trying new foods, playing tennis, spending time with friends, and curling up with a good book!

Zinachidi Mojekwu, ’25
Zina is originally from Lagos, Nigeria, but now resides in Chicago, IL. She is majoring in Biology on the Pre-Med track and minoring in Global Public health studies. Zina is highly passionate about global health disparities regarding young females, inequalities within the educational realm, and cultural/ traditional expression through art, dance, and speech. Zina hopes to utilize her time at Boston College by raising awareness of various health disparities and bridging the gap in healthcare between first and third-world countries by helping technological advancements in medical facilities in low-income countries. Zina also admires artistic expression and therefore has a passion for traditional art forms across many different cultures.
On campus, Zina is involved with the F.I.S.T.S dance team and 48 Hours council, while off-campus she is involved with SCRIPT under Boston Children’s hospital and Xanderena foundation.
When Zina is not laughing with friends or stressed in the library she is braiding hair, watching Netflix, or simply cooking food. She hopes to contribute to the vibrant energy and an uplifting mood within the women's center so that all students continue to see this place as a home away from home.

Justine Rozenich, ‘25
Justine is from Glen Ellyn, Illinois. She is double majoring in International Studies and Philosophy, aspiring to someday work as a lawyer in the human rights field. She is passionate about intersectionality and sexual assault prevention, and this year she hopes to continue increasing student accessibility to the important resources offered by the Women’s Center. At BC, Justine is involved in both The Gavel and Camp Kesem, in addition to serving as a tour guide and panelist for the Student Admission Program. In her spare time, she loves to pick up a good book, explore restaurants in Boston, and spend time with family and friends. She believes that the Women’s Center is an incredibly special space on campus and is extremely grateful for the opportunity to join the team this year!

Lilly Yeager, CSON ‘24,
Lilly was born and raised in Austin, Texas but recently moved to Chatham, Massachusetts withher parents. She is a true Texan at heart and loves all things Tex-Mex (aka queso and burritos)and 90 degree heat. She is a nursing major at Boston College and is passionate aboutreproductive health, women’s health, oncology care, supporting survivors of sexual violence,and aiding underserved populations. She is excited to work at the Women’s Center in the hopesof better understanding the intersection of sexual violence and nursing care.
Outside of nursing and the Women’s Center, Lilly is involved in 4Boston, a volunteer programwhere she has had the privilege of tutoring a young girl for three years now. This upcomingyear, Lilly will be a 4Boston leader where she is responsible for leading a small group reflectionconsisting of fellow Boston College students. Lilly is also a First-Year Nursing Seminar Leadwhere she leads a weekly class for freshman nursing students to help aid in their transition toBoston College and the field of nursing. Lilly has been a participant of Appa since her freshmanyear, a service-immersion program that consists of biweekly meetings to learn about socialinjustices around the world and then a service trip to the Appalachian region over spring break.Lilly is excited to be an Appa leader this upcoming year where she will lead her own small groupto the Appalachian region to engage in service among community members. Finally, Lilly hasbeen a Bystander Intervention Advocate since her sophomore year where she has helpedorganize campus wide activities around the topics of sexual violence and healing and is lookingforward to continuing that work this year.
In her free time, Lilly enjoys running, going on walkswith her friends, hanging out with her parents, trying new (and old) coffee shops, going on roadtrips, reading a good book, and eating yummy food!
