The Center for Teaching Excellence cultivates a vibrant teaching and learning culture at Boston College, accompanying educators in their vital work to further student learning and formation. Rooted in strong campus partnerships and attentive to changing individual and institutional contexts, the CTE provides cross-disciplinary opportunities for pedagogical experimentation, critical reflection, collaboration and community — with a focus on inclusive pedagogies and intentional engagement with technology — and advocates for institutional supports and systems that serve BC’s educational mission. Inspired by the University’s Jesuit, Catholic mission, the CTE embraces cura personalis as a radical commitment to prioritize human flourishing in all we do.
