Profile

Dr. Sean Hendricks is the Senior Associate Director of Athletics, Student-Athlete Development at Brown University. He has been in higher education for the past 17 years living out his passion for helping others maximize their abilities. He has served as an educator, coach, leader, and featured speaker and in his current position at Brown, he works to support the holistic growth and development of 1,000 student-athletes.

Prior to Brown, Dr. Hendricks spent two years as Assistant Athletics Director for Leadership and Personal Development and Chief of Staff of the Cameron Institute for Student-Athlete Development at the University of California, Berkeley. At Cal, Dr. Hendricks designed and implemented programs to support the holistic development of student-athletes. Prior to Cal, Dr. Hendricks worked at Rowan University, where he served in various roles, including Assistant Vice President of Academic Support Programs.

Dr. Hendricks has published 10 peer reviewed articles and presented at 22 conferences nationally and holds a B.S. in Health Science from Towson University, an M.S. in Educational Administration from McDaniel College, and an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from Rowan University. Dr. Hendricks is a former student-athlete, having played linebacker at Towson University, where he served as team captain and was an All-Patriot League selection.
