STM sends its congratulations and best wishes to our alumni who minister to the Church and the world in various ways.
Paul Manuel, M.T.S. ’03, will be the new Head of School for The Cambridge Matignon School in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Paul has most recently been at the School of Public Affairs at American University in Washington, D.C., where he has served as the leadership program director for the past eight years. He has also worked at Mount St. Mary’s University in Emmitsburg, Maryland, and Saint Anselm College in Manchester, New Hampshire.
Therese Ratliff, Ph.D. ’12, was named director and CEO of Liturgical Press. According to their announcement, Therese is the “second layperson and the first woman to lead Liturgical Press in its 96-year history.”
Jacqueline M. Regan, M.Div. ’01, M.A. ’03, STM’s associate dean for student affairs and career services, contributed a chapter titled “Imagining New Optics for Catholic Priesthood” to the volume Priestly Ministry and the People of God: Hopes and Horizons, which was edited by Thomas H. Groome, Richard Lennan, and Richard Gaillardetz. The volume was produced from the “Boston College Seminar on a Contemporary Theology of Priesthood and Ministry.”
Travis Russell, S.J., M.Div. ’19, was named president of Verbum Dei High School, a Cristo Rey model school in Los Angeles, California.
America magazine recently announced that Sam Sawyer, S.J. ‘00, M.Div. ’14, will become editor in chief in January 2023.
Nathan Wendt, S.J., M.Div. ’14, S.T.L. ’14, was recently named the first president of the newly established Xavier Jesuit Academy in Cincinnati, Ohio.
