What is your favorite thing to do in Boston?

Exploring all of the great neighborhoods in and around the city—there are so many within Boston proper and in the surrounding cities and towns and within an hour or two you can be at the beach or in the mountains.  I especially love checking out new restaurants and am always happy to give recommendations of some favorite places!

What is special about CSTM?

When I am asked about the best part of my job, my answer is always "the people."  CSTM has so many wonderful students, faculty, and staff with varying backgrounds, experiences, perspectives—I have learned so much over the years about other ways of seeing the world, about different cultures, and how to deepen my relationship with God by hearing the stories of the people at CSTM.

What is your favorite CSTM tradition?

I really enjoy the opening BBQ that CSTM hosts at the start of the Fall semester.  It's a great time to meet some of our new students and to re-connect with returning students, faculty, and staff and hear about their Summers.

Favorite spot on BC's campus

The Chapels on campus—the Simboli Hall Chapel, St. Joseph's Chapel, St. Mary's Chapel—they all have a distinct beauty and inspire a sense of peacefulness and prayerfulness. 

What is your favorite thing to do in Boston?

Urban hiking on Sunday afternoons. I use a deck of cards called "Boston History: What Happened Here?" to explore Boston's diverse neighborhoods. I pick a card and use the site as a destination for my weekly walk. I also love to walk or run along Day Blvd. and Castle Island in South Boston.

Our bright, talented, faith-filled CSTM students who could be pursuing any number of lucrative and prestigious careers!

Favorite spot on BC's campus

STM Chapel. It's a beautiful prayer space, and we are very fortunate to have it in the center of our building. I love to sit and remember all the students who have gathered here through the years.

What is your favorite thing to do in Boston?

Eat! Boston and its many neighborhoods offer countless options to explore the city through food.

What is special about CSTM?

The sense of care that permeates life in and out of the classroom, and the shared mission to serve the church and world.

What is your favorite CSTM tradition?

The Welcome Back BBQ. The food is amazing, and it's a great representation of the many ways our whole community—students, faculty, and staff—comes together.

It's right off campus, but the Chestnut Hill Reservoir. It's beautiful and has a great walking path.

What is your favorite thing to do in Boston?

Arboretum in the spring or walking along the Charles in the fall

Faculty, staff, and students are united in our commitment to education as formation for ministry, scholarship, and service.

The people who comprise the CSTM community are the most special aspect of the CSTM.

The McMullen Museum is my top fav spot at BC. The beauty of the building, artwork and scenic balcony view form a sacred space where the Divine and human come together.

What is your favorite thing to do in Boston?

I love to walk around the Boston Seaport and the North End area.

What is special about CSTM?

The CSTM's supportive and caring community of faculty, administrators  and staff help provide a positive and upbeat work atmosphere. I enjoy working with our diverse population of students—lay, religious and international.

What is your favorite thing to do in Boston?

I love to walk along the Rose Kennedy Greenway. Depending on the time of year, you can stroll gardens, eat at foodtrucks, shop at open markets, lounge in chairs, explore public art, ride a carousel, and walk a labyrinth. It also has easy access to the North End, Faneuil Hall Marketplace and the Seaport.

Favorite spot on BC's campus

I love the Chapel in Simboli Hall. There is always a space to sit and pray at anytime of the day.   

What is your favorite thing to do in Boston?

Seeing the Red Sox play at Fenway Park or enjoying a musical or ballet at one of the Boston theaters.

What is special about CSTM?

The people! I am blessed to have met some amazingly generous and talented people during my time at the CSTM.

What is your favorite CSTM tradition?

Thursday community liturgies and lunches. It's a wonderful opportunity to pray together as a community and then share a meal on a weekly basis.

Favorite spot on BC's campus

This may seem strange, but the Commonwealth Avenue garage! That is my family's tailgate spot for BC football games and I have lot of fond memories in the garage of family, friends, and good food while overlooking the balcony to the tailgates below.

What is your favorite thing to do in Boston?

Walking the Freedom Trail is one of Boston’s best experiences! On this free 2.5 mile walk through the heart of Boston, learn about Paul Revere’s midnight ride, visit the USS Constitution,  and learn about battles and events that sparked the start of the Revolutionary War.

STM’s commitment to cura personalis—care for the whole person—distinguishes the CSTM experience.

What is your favorite CSTM tradition?

The weekly Liturgy and Lunch is my favorite CSTM tradition. The opportunity to come together as a community in prayer, and then connect over a simple lunch cultivates a strong community.
