STM sends its congratulations and best wishes to our alumni who minister to the Church and the world in various ways.
Lynn Berardelli, M.A. ’20, returned to Boston College in January as the associate director for the Church in the 21st Century Center.
Sindy Collazo, M.T.S. ’02, was recently named associate director of Hispanic ministries for the USA East Province of the Society of Jesus Office of Ignatian Spirituality.
Claire McManus, M.A. ’99 S.T.L. ’06, recently received the St. Katharine Drexel Pathway Award from the National Federation for Catholic Youth Ministry. The award recognized McManus’s work as the director of the Office of Faith Formation for the Diocese of Fall River, a position she held from 2006 until her retirement in 2020. McManus remains active in parish and retreat ministry and serves as the family and community specialist for the South Shore Autism Center.
Michael Rozier, S.J., M.Div. ’14, is the visiting Jesuit Chair this semester in the School of Nursing and Health Studies at Georgetown University. He was recently named president of SSM Health Ministries, which preserves the mission of SSM Health, and will co-direct the Catholic Health Association’s (CHA) Catholic Health Executive Institute to provide leadership development and networking opportunities for Catholic health care executives.
Christian Santa Maria, M.Div. ’17, is now serving as director of university ministry at the University of San Diego. Also on staff there are Aly Monteleone, M.A. ’17, who serves as a university minister, and Alec Hartman, M.Div. ’20, who serves as a resident minister.
Trena and Kevin Yonkers-Talz, both M.A. ’96, were recognized for their work as co-founders and co-directors of the Casa de la Solidaridad program in El Salvador from 1997–2017. In October 2021, Casa was honored with the Peter Hinde CRISPAZ Peace Award 2021 for its work in solidarity with Salvadoran communities.
