Project Summary

For much of my career, I have worked on ancient prayers. I have long been interested in the prayers and hymns associated with the figure of Solomon, the son of David. In recent years, this interest in Solomonic Pseudepigrapha has led me to a deeper investigation of the development of Son of David messianism in the Gospel of Matthew. I am currently working on a book project that brings together the development of Solomon traditions during the late Second Temple and early Christian periods.
