My name is Julia Sedlack, and I am a first-year student pursuing the Joint MA in Philosophy and Theology. Before coming to BC, I graduated from The Catholic University of America with an interdisciplinary MA in Medieval Studies and from Samford University with BAs in English and Music. My primary research interests are in theological aesthetics, especially relating to philosophies of literature and music. I am also interested in semiotic metaphysics and hope to further explore connections between beauty, divinity, and reality.
I have taught as an adjunct instructor at Frederick Community College and at Palm Beach Atlantic University. At BC, I am currently a TA for the Department of Psychology and Neuroscience. In addition to my academic work, I am a classically-trained violinist and Suzuki music educator. Above all else, my goals as a scholar and teacher are to delight in ideas and to inspire awe for the Author of all things.
