Dear Members of the Connell School Community:
It is with sadness that I write to inform you that Molly Ryan, who graduated with a master’s degree from the nurse anesthesia program in the Connell School of Nursing in May, died at home on July 30.
A resident of Green Harbor, Mass., Molly came to BC after receiving her bachelor’s degree from Quinnipiac University. While enrolled in CSON, she served as a student representative on the Boston College Master’s Program Committee.
She was also a member of the Massachusetts Association of Nurse Anesthetists, and worked at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston.
Staff from Campus Ministry are reaching out to nursing students who studied with Molly to offer their support.
In addition, we are hosting a gathering for students in the current nurse anesthesia cohort on Monday August 5 at 3 p.m. in Maloney 426. Staff from University Counseling Services will be present.
A Memorial Mass will be held on August 12 at 11 am at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 40 Canal Street in Marshfield.
