A native of Rivière-du-Loup (Québec, Canada), André Brouillette joined the Society of Jesus in Montreal, and earned graduate degrees in philosophy, history, and theology in Europe and North America. His first book, Le lieu du salut: Une pneumatologie d’incarnation chez Thérèse d’Ávila, has been published in the prestigious series Cogitatio fidei by the Editions du Cerf, in Paris, and later translated in English under the title, Teresa of Avila, the Holy Spirit, and the Place of Salvation. His upcoming monograph, The Pilgrim Paradigm: Faith in Motion, explores the theology of pilgrimage. He is also the co-editor of an upcoming book on the pedagogy of pilgrimage for Fortress Press. Since 2021, he is the general editor of the Classics of Western Spirituality (Paulist Press). When in Boston, Fr. Brouillette accompanies the Communauté catholique francophone of Boston.
