Griffin is an M.A. student in the philosophy program. He earned his B.A. from the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts, where he studied both Classics, primarily studying both the Greek and Latin languages and their literatures, as well as philosophy. His senior year, he was selected as a Fenwick Scholar, the highest academic award at the college, through which he pursued a year-long thesis project on the philosophy of the person in the history of philosophy. He has been both a Weiss Summer Research Fellow at Holy Cross and a Junior Research Fellow at the Kierkegaard Library at St. Olaf College.
