Brandon Sertl is a M.A. student at Boston College. He was a former double engineering major at Georgia Tech, studying mechanical engineering and materials science. His main research interests are realist phenomenology (Edith Stein, Dietrich von Hildebrand, and Josef Seifert), Neoplatonism, and Christian mysticism (Nicholas of Cusa, St. Bonaventure, and St. Augustine). By approaching philosophy from multiple traditions, Brandon hopes to see the relationship between the finite person and God, and the interplay between disciplines such as philosophy, theology, and the natural sciences. Outside of classes, he enjoys spending time with friends and family, running, and playing the piano.
