Dr. Catherine Gagnon joined the Center for Isotope Geochemistry at Boston College in 2026. She earned her PhD in Earth, Environmental, and Planetary Sciences from Brown University, where she used stable isotope geochemistry techniques to study ancient climate and sedimentary lithium systems in the Great Basin region of the United States. She also holds a B.S. in Geoscience from Penn State University. Dr. Gagnon has extensive experience with IRMS instrumentation, including dual-inlet and continuous-flow configurations and a range of sample preparation devices/peripherals. She enjoys learning and supporting all the creative applications of stable isotopes to environmental science.
